What this template is for

This loan agreement template is intended for individuals who wish to formally document a private loan between two parties. It can be used when lending money to a family member, relative, friend or another individual.

The agreement allows the parties to establish the loan amount, disbursement arrangements, repayment terms and applicable interest. It provides the option to choose either an interest-free loan or an interest-bearing loan, with interest calculated as a fixed percentage of the original principal amount.

The document also covers early repayment, late payment interest and the repayment schedule attached as Annex 1. The schedule can be completed for a single repayment or multiple instalments, depending on the arrangement agreed between the parties.
